Double Proofreading Process

We recommend Double Proofreading for translations for filing purposes (at patent offices or courts) as they require extensive technical and scientific knowledge, patent expertise, and highly developed translation and editorial skills, whether the document is translated into Japanese for patent application in Japan or into English which may serve as a basis for further translation to be used for filing in multiple countries.

Our translation process begins with our staff member reviewing the translation project and selecting the most suitable candidates from our extensive network of specialized translators and proofreaders, both in Japan and abroad, based upon their specialization, expertise and experience in light of the nature of the translation project.

The document is translated by a native speaker of the source document with proficiency in the subject matter of the translated document.The draft is then provided to an expert in the subject matter and a native in the target language for editing and proofreading.The document may be shuffled back and forth until it reaches the prerequisite precision and accuracy, using appropriate technical terminology as well as articulacy in the target language.
